Church of the Open Door
- Non-Profit Organization
Church of the Open Door (COD) is a community of believers in Jesus Christ, firmly committed to the truths of God's Word and grace. Our desire is to cultivate a family atmosphere where we can all grow in grace.
The church was conceived in the mind of Dr. R.A. Torrey, who came to Los Angeles to start the Bible Institute of Los Angeles (BIOLA) over a hundred years ago. For 70 years COD was located downtown and was identified by the Jesus Saves signs. In 1985 the church relocated to the foothills in Glendora, California.
Our deepest desire is that Church of the Open Door be used by God to meet the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of people in the San Gabriel Valley, and those in other regions and nations as well.
We'd love for you to know us. And, more importantly, we'd love to hear your story.
We are located on Sierra Madre Ave. in Glendora, between Grand Ave. (to the east) and Barranca Ave. (to the west). Look for our long entrance road just to the west of St. Lucy's Priory.
